Environmental cooperation between Finnish cities and St Petersburg

Years 2010-2011 form the fourth programme period with old and new co-operation themes in the field of environmental protection. Cooperation started in 2004 under the City Twinning programme.

The overall objective of the cooperation is to support the capacity building of the environmental administration of the city of St. Petersburg in order to improve the level of environmental planning, management and monitoring in the city.

Programme is funded by The Finnish Ministry of the Environment together with the participating municipalities.
